At POOJI, the process depends on the product and options you choose. A custom physical product can be made using a cleaned cutout of your uploaded pet photo. If you also purchase a Custom Digital Pet Portrait, we will first create a hand-drawn portrait of your pet before placing it onto your selected product design.
Step 1: We Review Your Order and Pet Photo
Once your order is placed, we review the product you selected and the pet photo you uploaded. At this stage, we check what type of custom piece you ordered, whether it uses a photo cutout or a hand-drawn portrait, and what details are needed for the design.
This helps us prepare the right kind of preview before production begins.
Step 2: We Prepare the Artwork Based on Your Order
If you order a custom rug or another physical product without adding a hand-drawn pet portrait, we will create the product design using a cleaned cutout of your uploaded pet photo. This means your pet’s photo is carefully separated from the background and placed into the product layout.
If you also purchase a Custom Digital Pet Portrait, we will first create your 100% hand-drawn digital pet portrait from your uploaded photo. This is not a simple photo filter or a ready-made template. It is a hand-drawn artwork created to capture your pet’s face, expression, markings, and familiar details.
Step 3: You Review the First Preview
The first preview depends on your order.
For a physical product using a photo cutout, you will review how your pet’s cutout appears in the product design.
For an order that includes a Custom Digital Pet Portrait, you will review the hand-drawn pet portrait first. If the face, expression, color, or small details need adjustment, the portrait preview can be revised until you are happy before we move on to the product design.
Step 4: We Create Your Product Design Preview
After the artwork is ready, we place it onto your selected product. This is where your pet becomes part of a custom piece for everyday life.
For a custom pet rug, this means reviewing how the pet image or hand-drawn portrait sits within the rug shape and layout. For a pillow, wall art, or phone case, it means checking the placement, balance, size, and overall look of the final design.
You will receive a product design preview before production begins. If the layout, size, placement, or overall look needs adjustment, the design preview can also be revised until you are happy.
Step 5: We Move Into Production After Approval
Production begins only after the required previews are approved. This helps make the process clearer and more reassuring, especially for a custom piece made from a photo that means something personal to you.
Small details matter. A slight change in the eyes, expression, color, size, or layout can make the final piece feel much closer to your pet and your home.
About the Custom Digital Pet Portrait
A hand-drawn digital pet portrait is not automatically included with every physical custom product. If you order a custom rug or another physical product without adding the portrait option, your design will use a cleaned cutout of your uploaded pet photo.
If you would like a 100% hand-drawn digital pet portrait, please purchase the Custom Digital Pet Portrait separately. Once approved, the hand-drawn portrait can also be used in your selected product design.
